Making a strong product legible to buyers - and to the AI engines summarizing it.
Illustrative Scenario. This example demonstrates how an AI Ask Ready engagement may be structured. The company name, data and results are illustrative and should not be interpreted as verified client performance.
Problem
Where things stood before the engagement
Traffic was healthy but demo conversion had stalled at ~1.4%. Post-demo win rate was strong, so the bottleneck was site-side clarity, not product-market fit.
AI answer engines described the category, not this product. When buyers asked 'best tool for X', competitors were cited by name - this product was missing from the conversation.
Solution
How we approached the work
- 1
Message architecture
Interviewed sales and three current customers. Rebuilt the homepage and top-of-funnel pages around outcomes, use cases and objections - not features.
- 2
Comparison and use-case content
Published five comparison pages and three deep use cases mapped to buyer queries surfacing in ChatGPT and Perplexity. Each page structured for AI citation.
- 3
Demo request friction
Cut required form fields from nine to four. Added inline social proof and a clearer 'what happens next' sequence.
Illustrative outcome
Potential Improvement Areas
- Demo conversion rose from ~1.4% to ~1.9% across the top five entry pages.
- AI engines now cite the product by name for two of the three targeted query clusters.
- Sales calls open with buyer questions instead of product explanations - shorter cycles, cleaner qualification.
